Come and join our art adventure
Explore creating art this summer - try drawing, painting, sculpting, mixed media and more.  The focus is on giving young artists access to professional art instructors and quality materials to create art. 

Outdoor lunch with games and art journals add to the enjoyment, and special animal visits each week will inspire your camper with fun furry friends to meet and draw. New projects each week!

ART CAMP LOCATIONS
Crystal Lake location:
Creative Arts Studio, 400 Highland Ave, Crystal Lake, IL
(on the grounds of The Dole)

Wauconda location:
DaVinci Waldorf School, 150 W Bonner Road, Waudonda, IL

ART CAMP/WORKSHOP FEES
Fees:
• 4-day camp 9:30am-2:30pm: $195
• 3-day camp 9:30am-2:30pm: $150

• 3-day workshops (2-hours/day): $90
ART CAMP AGE LIMITS
Age Limits listed in camp descriptions
If student is younger than listed age limit, camp registration will be voided and payment refunded.  Age limits are set by our camp leaders to strive for the best possible creative environment for both campers and staff.

KEEP OUR CAMP LEADERS & CAMPERS HEALTHY
Please stay home if you are coughing, sneezing, or have a fever.  We are happy to offer credits or refunds for missed camp days in the event of camper illness. 


NUT-FREE LUNCHES ONLY
For all day camps, please bring a nut-free bag lunch, and bottle of water each day.  You may want to bring sunscreen for lunchtime/playtime outdoors.  For 1/2 day workshops, please bring a water bottle and snack. 
Please note: No refrigeration or microwave available on site.

"Art Studio" camp; Mon-Thurs 9:30am-2:30pm; Age 9-10 or Age 11-17; $195 (the two age groups will be in separate rooms, unless otherwise requested on the registration form)

Draw, paint, and sculpt your own creations with guidance and art demos from professional artists.  This special art studio camp with instructor guidance is perfect for young artists ready to explore new mediums, create amazing art, and meet new friends. All levels welcome - bring your creativity and get ready to make art!

BONUS ACTIVITIES for this special camp week:
Digital Art projects available with Procreate on iPads provided by the studio (or bring your own device)
Sewing Studio available for interested students who want to learn machine sewing!
Advanced Sculpting with wire + polymer clay - learn to build armatures and sculpt textures

CHARACTER DESIGN AGe 11-17: AUG 4-6
CHARACTER DESIGN workshop, age 11-17; $90
August 4-6, 10:00am - 12:00pm

Learn to develop your original characters in pencil, then finish them in watercolor, gouche, colored pencil, Copic marker, or ink.  Explore drawing anatomy, clothing, hairstyles, and more. 
Day 1:
sketch and design your character with views from the front, back and side.
Day 2:
transfer your final design to Bristol board and add details. Day 3: Color, shade, and add highlights for a finished character illustration.

Learn to draw on iPads with Apple Pencil & Procreate, or bring your own device to create characters, creatures & worlds. Print your art on stickers, buttons and a canvas bag to take home!

SEWING workshop, age 9-12 or 10-14; $90

Learn to sew by hand and on a sewing machine! Make a drawstring bag or zipper bag, and adorable plushies. Students can complete 2-3 projects per workshop.
