Intermediate Drawing

Pick your own subject or follow instructor demos on animal or human portraits, skeletons and musculature, flowers and plants, rocks and water. Try whimsical mushrooms or tiny frogs or fairies - anything you can imagine, we can draw. Draw from life and photos, but learn to alter your references to create your unique composition. We’ll explore graphite, pen & ink, and drawing on toned paper. Digital artists also welcome to bring in their laptop/tablet. Art for Relaxation

Beginning Quilting
Dar McIntyre THURS 3:00-5:00pm age 16 & up July 13, 20, 27 & Aug 3, 10, 17 $130 for 6 weeks (2 hour class) Learn to quilt from start to finish - by the end of this 6-week class you will have a completed baby quilt or quilted table topper (your choice). Learn to cut fabric accurately, piece blocks, add borders, and finally quilt and bind your unique creation. Alisia Duran FRI 5:30-6:50pm Age 10 to adult (youth with parent or guardian) $130 for 8 weeks Come and learn about different crocheting methods, like hooks, stitches and patterns. You'll start by making simple crocheted squares that can be used to make scarves, pillows or blankets. Ruby Sieber You have a life story; Guided Autobiography can help you tell it! In this live online course, the instructor will give you prompts to help you write your story (two pages at a time), you'll experience a supportive community of listeners, and participate in discussion and practice of writing techniques. She enjoys sharing her love of writing through GAB and inspiring others to tell their stories. Learn to create a stained glass panel to beautify your home, or to give as a gift. For beginning students, instructor will provide a choice of patterns in styles such as Art Deco, Mission, and Prairie. Advanced students have the option to design their own pattern. Skills learned include composition, cutting, and soldering. Tools & instruction provided, students will purchase glass for their project ($50-$80 additional depending on pattern). This is an adult class; student must be 18 or older to register. Exception: If an adult guardian with a youth age 16 or older would like to register and take the class together, please contact the instructor for permission.
