Advanced Pencil Drawing

THURS 1:00-2:30pm; $130 for 8 weeks, $65 for 4 weeks Develop and hone your pencil skills, advanced shading and blending techniques will easily move your designs from pencil sketches to completed compositions. You will be encouraged to progressively design and create your own compositions. We’ll also cover textures such as fur, rocks, scales as well as backgrounds, layout, and design. Pick your own subject or follow instructor demos on animal or human portraits, skeletons and musculature, flowers and plants, rocks and water. Try whimsical mushrooms or tiny frogs or fairies - anything you can imagine, we can draw. Draw from life and photos, but learn to alter your references to create your unique composition. We’ll explore graphite, pen & ink, and drawing on toned paper. Digital artists also welcome to bring in their laptop/tablet. |

This class style is open studio, where students decide on projects and the instructor assists with bringing their ideas to the next level. |
Stained Glass
Pam Magnuson (1/6 start) FRI 1:30-3:30pm - 1 spot left (1/8 start) SUN 11:00-1:00pm - FULL Different fee: $145 for 6 weeks (2 hour class) Additional drop-in classes available for $25/class; student must have already enrolled in a 6-week course prior to drop-in. Learn to create a stained glass panel to beautify your home, or to give as a gift. For beginning students, instructor will provide a choice of patterns in styles such as Art Deco, Mission, and Prairie. Advanced students have the option to design their own pattern. Skills learned include composition, cutting, and soldering. Tools & instruction provided, students will purchase glass for their project ($50-$80 additional depending on pattern). This is an adult class; student must be 18 or older to register. Exception: If an adult guardian with a youth age 15 or older would like to register and take the class together, please contact the instructor for permission.
